Hey, I'm Eric.

I created Columbia United Therapy Institute in order to bring therapy options to individuals who have found making time for healing and growing a challenge. My passion for the therapeutic process is rooted in my belief that you deserve to be your best self.

What's that? Imagine yourself free from dependence. Your anxiety, joy, zest, and self perception, untethered from any outcome. Imagine changing only one thing, and changing everything.

I currently work part-time at the Lane County Jail, serving marginalized folks in high-needs environments. My experience in these settings has honed my ability to sit with chaos, trauma, and Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) with steady compassion.

My Approach

I specialize in working with diverse populations, processing deep trauma, and supporting those with complex needs. My experience covers a broad spectrum of life challenges, including addiction, post-incarceration reintegration, the immigrant experience, and dynamics surrounding relationships, sex, and love. At the root, I am an existential therapist, though I use every modality available to us. My foundation is always person-centered, loving, and validating.

Do relationships feel more challenging than they should? Do you feel stuck, isolated, and searching for meaning?

It's normal to use patterned behaviors to self-soothe, and these can be effective—but they can also interfere with your life. I understand trauma is complex, and personal, and can lead to feeling out of control, dysregulated, and challenged in relationships.

Healing and growth is possible. Our therapeutic alliance is the most important determinant of success for you.

I specialize in Trauma, Addiction, & Attachment therapy, using a wide range of therapies including Somatic, ACT, IFS, and DBT, combined with talk therapy. I’m an eclectic therapist trained in CBT, DBT, and SFBT, using them as needed. We'll move at your pace and comfort.

Pain and wounds can heal with treatment. I provide a safe place to walk the path to healing together. As a practitioner, the most important thing I can bring to a therapeutic relationship is authenticity.

"There is no problem too big or small. Starting therapy is an investment in your health, wellbeing, and future. I am here to support you."
