Frequently Asked Questions

Does insurance cover couples therapy?

It depends. Couples therapy is sometimes covered when one partner has a diagnosable condition (anxiety, depression, etc.). We can verify your specific coverage. Private pay rate for couples is $185/session.

Do both partners have to attend every session?

Ideally, yes — couples therapy works best with both partners present. However, occasional individual sessions can be helpful for specific processing. We'll discuss the best approach for your situation.

How long does couples therapy take?

Most couples benefit from 12-20 sessions, though some see meaningful shifts within 6-8. Frequency is typically weekly to start, then moves to biweekly as progress is made.
