Trauma & PTSD Therapy in Eugene & Springfield, Oregon

Healing from trauma isn't about forgetting — it's about your past no longer controlling your present. Specialized, compassionate trauma therapy for adults and teens.

Understanding the Challenge

Trauma isn't just what happened to you — it's how it affected your nervous system. Whether it was a single life-threatening event, ongoing childhood abuse or neglect, or complex relational trauma, the effects can ripple through every area of your life: relationships, self-worth, sleep, emotional regulation, and even physical health. Trauma therapy isn't about reliving pain. It's about processing what happened in a safe, controlled environment so your brain and body can finally integrate those experiences and move forward.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does trauma therapy take?

It depends on the type and severity of trauma. Some people with single-incident trauma see significant improvement in 8-16 sessions. Complex trauma, including childhood abuse or neglect, often benefits from longer-term work (6-18+ months). We'll revisit goals together regularly.

Will I have to talk about everything that happened?

No. Effective trauma therapy doesn't require you to recount every detail. Many approaches we use (like somatic tracking and IFS) focus on processing trauma through the body and internal parts rather than verbally retelling the story. You are always in control of the pace.

Is trauma therapy covered by insurance?

Yes. PTSD and trauma-related diagnoses are covered by all our in-network insurers: Trillium OHP ($0 cost), Aetna, PacificSource, Providence, and Regence BCBS.
